EASTSIDE FOCUSED LGBTQ+ RESOURCES, SUPPORT & SAFE SPACE EVENTS
Our mission is to create a safe, inclusive and equitable community for 2LGBTQIA+ people living on the Eastside through unique safe space events, sharing of vetted resources, and elevating opportunities for local advocacy. We are committed to promoting diversity, acceptance and understanding among all individuals, and to fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity that recognizes and honors the intersections between BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities.

On this website you will find the always up to date Eastside focused resource and provider referral guide, The Big Book of All Things Queer. We are passionate about sharing compassionate support, resources, activities, and advocacy opportunities close to home so we can help empower LGBTQIA+ individuals from all backgrounds on the Eastside to live their lives to the fullest without fear of discrimination or prejudice.

Beyond Binary connections

Join us in our low  pressure meetup group, with different venues across this side of the bridge monthly. Hang out with a book, an art project, or bring a game and socialize how you'd like!  We meet each second Thursday of the month at different locations.

D&D Game Night

Interested in adventure? Our LGBTQ+ D&D Game Night is a low pressure, no judgment gathering for newbies and veterans alike. Join Game Master James Webster for regular weekly/bi-weekly meet ups in downtown Redmond to escape into realms of fantasy, daring, humor, and collaboration. Table Top Role Playing Games can be an empowering form of confidence building as folks take on monsters, real and fantastical, form connections, explore themselves and connect with each other.

LGBTQ+ Holiday Potluck

Connect with some of your fellow Eastside queerdos at our annual LGBTQ+ holiday potluck in mid-December. Share dishes with the community that mean something to you, watch local queer performers, and game in a safe environment with good food and great connections!

Rainbow Elder Breakfast

We cherish our LGBTQ+ elders and believe that magical and meaningful connections can happen at any age. These breakfasts give folks 50+ the chance to connect with each other, eat good food and  enjoy a morning boost of community that the Eastside has been long overdue for. We meet on the first Tuesday of each month.

Rainbow Ribbon Weaving

We take time in May to weave some color  at inclusive places on the Eastside for Pride Month. Where should we go this year?

Redmond Pride 2022

Sponsorship Packet

An annual September celebration to celebrate and elevate the LGBTQ+ & BIPOC community of the Eastside. From performers, creators and resources, Redmond Pride is a very welcome change from the body bumping Seattle Pride that offers a home town non-corporate run event that is thrilled to highlight the amazing work close to home!

Queer The Sky

Special

Movie Night

It's -a Super Mario Bos. the Movie Night! This free/pay what you can admission  gathering will be at Bellevue's Lincoln Square Cinemark Theaters. Whether you're going as a devoted Mario fan or just to experience the voice of Christ Pratt   on an Italian plumber, you're invited to the movies with Pride Across the Bridge! The prospective movie date will be the week of April 23rd-29th. Day and time are dependent on the availability of those interested.

Self Defense Class

It can be petrifying  to find yourself in a situation  where you need to protect yourself. It's valuable to take time in a safe environment to make sure that your body and mind know your options if a  dangerous situation were to occur.  PAB's partner, the creator of The Emotional Abuse Discussion,  will teach Krav Maga through a trauma informed lens to give our community the tools needed to keep ourselves and each other safe.

Shes, Theys & Gays, Oh My! Comedy night

Come to our all LGBTQ+ comedian lineup for a fabulous all-ages  event   April 8th from 6:00-8:30m, doors open at 5pm! Check out our lineup and get your tickets here. Accessibility is  integral to everything we do. We heard from our community that an all ages comedy show was needed, so we're bringing the talent! This will be a dry event, with options for food and drinks for all dietary needs. Although this is an all ages event, parental advisory is recommended as some material may still be  geared towards older audiences.

Queer Youth Paint & Sip

Currently at the Old Redmond Fire House, and more locations to come, LGBTQ+ youth can connect and get their creativity on with step by step paint, or a free for all paint frenzy!

We Stand With Black Lives

PAB is committed to learning and taking actions to continue to become antiracist. The too many countless murders of souls like Tyre Nichols, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, Tony McDade and Dijon Kizzee are inexcusable and preventable. We stand with Black lives, experiences, values, and groups that help BIPOC and demand accountability in our biased and violent system.

Donate to our local Lavender Rights Project,  a low-to-no cost legal advocacy group for Black gender diverse people. Along with their housing and legal support, they have a invaluable Gender-Based Violence Prevention Program.

Land Acknowledgment

PAB acknowledges that the work being done on what we call the Eastside is and has always been the unceded ancestral lands and waters of the past and present Duwamish *dxʷdəwʔabš, Snoqualmie *s·dukʷalbixʷ, Stillaguamish *stuləgʷábš and Tulalip *dxʷlilap peoples. Gender fluid and gender diverse people have existed in Indigenous communities since time immemorial, until white colonizers brought concepts of gender binary and limited sexuality, brining along subsequent oppression through violence. We stand in solidarity and honor the first peoples who still occupy and safeguard these lands.  Every discussion and decision PAB makes is with the understanding of any and all impacts it will have on Indigenous peoples. As Guests, we recognize that we benefit from living and working on their traditional homeland. PAB is committed to transparent actions as individuals and as a group to celebrate, respect, and elevate the voices, experiences and histories of Native peoples as we advocate and take action working towards the liberation of all people existing beyond the confines of the ongoing damages of colonialism.

This Land Acknowledgement is one small step in the mass amount of work needed to improve our support and allyship with Indigenous communities in their home and beyond. Please connect, learn and support the Native tribes whose land we live and work on.

Duwamish Tribe- The Duwamish have yet to be justly compensated for their land, resources and livelihoods. Consider becoming a Real Renter, where you can show your solidarity with those who are still continuing to honor and bring light to their ancient heritage.

Snoqualmie Tribe- Learn about the Ancestral Lands Movement and see how you can stand in solidarity with our land owner, and help the land and it's people take care of this sacred space, which has been heavily negatively impacted by increased recreation. Take the pledge.

Stillaguamish Tribe- Learn about the history of the People of the River and the native lands that they continue to caretake and preserve.

Tulalip Tribe- Consider supporting the Tulalip Foundation, which helps survivors of domestic violence, supports projects & programs that assist community members in gaining access to the tribal judicial system, succeed in education as well as enhance and restore the culture and tradition of Tulalip Tribes.
