At Pride Across the Bridge, we are dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive and equitable community for LGBTQIA+ people living on the Eastside. Our mission is to promote diversity, acceptance and understanding among all individuals, and to foster a culture of respect and inclusivity that recognizes and honors the intersections between LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities.
We believe that everyone deserves free access to resources and safe connecting events that support their identity and well-being close to home. That's why PAB offers a wide array of events, spaces and initiatives to support our LGBTQ+ neighbors on the Eastside. Our initiatives include:
Pushing and leading the way for the first city rainbow crosswalk in Redmond, aiming to be finished late August 2023.
Sharing 2SLGBTQ+ specific and ally resources anything from terminology and compassionate local providers, to free STI testing, tailoring, and drafted questions for parents to vet schools before enrolling their queer youth.
Hosting a variety of recurring and special events for our LGBTQ+ residents, some of which include a monthly Beyond Binary Connections group, Rainbow Elder Breakfast, queer artist meetup, and exciting yearly events like a queer skydiving group and our big Redmond Pride event, which elevates over 50 LGBTQ+ vendors and local queer performers, experienced and new.
Sharing lived experiences of queer individuals on the Eastside through community education spaces. Our Trans-cending Perspectives Panel delves into the lives of your transgender and non-binary neighbors in an effort to help battle misinformation and educate those in our region who want to know more, but may not know where to go to ask questions.
We strive to connect and protect our Eastside LGBTQ+ community through events, resources and advocacy opportunities and to foster a culture of respect and inclusivity that recognizes and honors the intersections between LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities. We are committed to creating a world where all individuals, regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation, feel valued, respected and celebrated.
